Setting up a tree nursery and distributing seedlings

The goal of the project

This project aims to establish a sustainable tree nursery (Viveiro de Mudas) to produce high-quality seedlings of native species and distribute them to the community and neighboring riverside residents (Ribeirinhos).

 

Background

Having its own tree nursery allows the community to carry out reforestation measures independently and continuously. At the same time, it promotes regional cooperation and strengthens ecological networks.

 

Measures

• Building the necessary infrastructure for seedling production

• Collection and selection of suitable seeds

• Cultivation and care of young plants

• Distribution of the seedlings within the community and to surrounding communities

 

Expected effect

• Long-term safeguarding of reforestation projects

• Promoting regional cooperation

• Raising awareness of sustainable land use

• Strengthening local self-responsibility
